DESCRIPTION:This roundtable will focus on Employment law\, Employment Standards Act\, Human Rights\, Privacy Legislation and Worksafe BC all set minimum requirements and legal protection for the employees of your organization. It is important to know your obligations and opportunities when you hire employees.\n\nParticipants will gain an understanding of:\n\n\n	Employment Standards Minimums\n	Employee versus Contractor status\;\n	Common Law obligations for Employers\;\n	WorkSafe's recent bullying requirements. Are you compliant?\;\n	Human Rights legislation in the workplace\; and\n	We will attempt to fill the an important gap for managers involved in any aspect of management and employee relations.\n\n\nGlen Grant\, President and Senior Consultant\, HRfx Consulting Inc. (glen@hrfx.ca). Glen is a senior HR professional with over 25 years of HR experience with both large and small companies. Over the past six year\, he has run his own consulting firm\, providing HR support to small and mid sized businesses\, that generally do not have any HR infrastructure.
